The world’s most extensive range of large diaphragm microphones is now two mics the richer with the introduction of AT2035 and AT2050.  Both represent exceptional value and draw on the technology and performance of Audio-Technica’s illustrious premium recording mic range.

The AT2035 cardioid condenser is intended for a wide variety of miking applications, including overheads, acoustic instruments and guitar cabinets.  It features excellent performance specifications including a flat, extended frequency response (20-20,000Hz), high SPL handling capability (148dB, 158dB with the 10dB pad) and an element yielding extremely low self-noise (12dB SPL).  Every aspect of the AT2035 has been tailored for a very smooth, natural sound while ensuring maximum accuracy, making it a perfect complement for today’s digital recording equipment.

The AT2050 multi-pattern condenser is ideal for studio use and live sound productions with vocals, piano, strings, overheads, guitar amps and more.  It offers three switchable polar patterns omni, cardioid and figure-eight and its dual large diaphragm capsule design maintains precise polar pattern definition across its full 20-20,000Hz frequency range.  It has the ability to handle high SPL’s (149dB, 159dB with the 10dB pad) with extremely low self-noise (17dB SPL).  In addition, its dual diaphragms are gold-vaporized and aged to achieve optimum characteristics over years of use.

Both microphones feature a switchable integral 80Hz high-pass filter and a 10dB pad.  The filter provides easy switching from a flat frequency response to a low-end roll-off.  The high-pass position reduces the microphones’ sensitivity to popping in close vocal use.  It also reduces the pickup of low-frequency ambient noise.
