| iLive brings an analogue feel to digital mixing and draws on A&H's extensive experience in live sound and digital technology. The heart of the system is the iDR-64, a 19” rack-mounting modular mix engine with 64 channels into 32 mixes, assignable as auxes, groups, matrix or main outs. Controlled via Ethernet the iDR-64 can be connected to a variety of devices including laptop PC, third party units and, not least, the new range of Allen & Heath iLive control surfaces. Available with 20, 28, 36 or 44 faders on the control surface the iLive's motorised faders are grouped in 3 sections, each with 4 banks, corresponding to 80, 112, 144 or 176 controllable channels. A multi-colour backlit LCD display above each fader indicates, at a glance, channel grouping while channel controls for preamp, filter, gate, EQ, compressor and limiter/de-esser are laid out across the top of the surface on rotary controls with LED indicators. A colour LCD touch screen provides a graphical view of the processing and access to the automation and set up screens. Systems are custom configured and start from around $40,000. Note: Limited distribution. |
